Carbon Fiber Hoods for the Scion XB

The Scion XB brought 2004 in with a breath of fresh air. This sporty new off shoot of Toyota motor corporation has spawned a trendy new style for young adults to adore. With its boxy shape and unique design, its easy to see why this vehicle has been such a big hit.

The Scion XB almost immediatly pushed its way to the forefront of aftermarket and performance parts manufacturing firms. Companies pushed aside lesser anticipated new car releases to push the high demands for parts for the Scion XB. By mid 2004, halfway through its first model year, several leading companies had already released thier new products for the Scion XB, twice as fast as the average for new models.

We were fortunate to get in some great new carbon fiber products for the XB. Of the three carbon fiber manufacturers that we put our confidence in (Seibon, VIS and Carbon Creations), all of them have already released OEM carbon fiber hoods for the XB, while Carbon Creations has gone far enough to offer a double sided silver carbon fiber hood. VIS followed up with a gorgeous cowl inducted carbon fiber hood, basically an OEM style hood with a mini scoop in the front center of the hood.

VIS has taken a great interest in the Scion XB by not only offering two carbon fiber hoods for this car, but also a silver carbon fiber rear wing spoiler. The VIP body kit consists of a front bumper, rear bumper and sideskirts. VIS has also released a pair of bullet fenders. Anticipation is still up in the air for other carbon fiber hoods and accessories for the XB. We are hoping that VIS will release an XB version of its Outlaw series carbon fiber hoods which feature two aero twin induction ports (similar to the XGT carbon fiber hood but with the vents facing forward).

Carbon Fiber Hoods for the XB are very reasonably priced for these new releases, ranging from $499 for the OEM styles thru $599 for the cowl inducted and silver carbon fiber.
