Carbon Fiber Hoods for the Infinity G35 Coupe December 22, 2004

An overview of the carbon fiber hoods availible for the Infinity G53 Coupe.

Suprisingly enough, the selection of carbon fiber hoods for the Infinity G35 is quite a bit different than that of the Nissan 350z. One would think that since the 350z and Infinity G35 coupe are nearly identical, then there would be the same hoods availible for the car by just changing the mold a slight bit to accomodate the difference in the headlights.

That is the case for a couple of the hoods such as the VIS Fuzion hood and of course the ever popular TS hood. But Seibon took it a step further by building a sleek and stylish new hood for the G35 coupe, its the JS carbon fiber hood.

Made from the usual high quality materials signature to the Seibon name separates this gorgeous hood from the rest. While it follows some of the same lines as the orignal VS or Invader hood series, it actually has a more stylish dual reverse induction port instead of a single one sported by the Invader. This hood also lips up a tad bit to create a unique profile. We have found this hood to be an extraordinary match up to the INGS racing aerodynamics kit. The contour of the hood looks great paired up with the aftermarket fenders carried by INGS.

Now lets take a second look at the TS hood. This hood was the hot seller for 350z enthusiasts around the world, and Seibon had quite a hard time keeping this one in stock due to the gorgeous looks. Did they simply cut the headlights out a little deeper to accomodate the G35? Nope, a brand new mold was cast. They kept the three opposing slatted induction ports, but made them wider and moved them closer together.

These two hoods are the newest releases in Seibons arsenal of high end carbon fiber hoods and accessories. And for those who are still die hard VIS enthusiasts, dont worry, VIS has reserved two designs for you... the OEM style carbon fiber hood and the extreme looking Fuzion. We hope that VIS will invest more into these high end sports cars and up the ante with Seibon in this area.
